Wholesale Operations
Unifrutti India launched the first branded wholesale initiative in the country with smartly branded stores in various whole sale markets across the country. While a growing network of these stores has emerged as a key strength in accessing the markets across the country with new products – it has also helped Unifrutti India in optimizing sales revenues for each individual product. Imports like Apples, Kiwis, Plums, Grapes, Citrus and domestic products like Bananas, Grapes, Pomegranates, Kinnows & Mangoes have all been introduced to the trade through these stores.
Direct Retail Distribution (DRD)

The F&V domain being highly unorganized in India – Unifrutti India had decided early on to build its business with absolute emphasis on high quality of service levels while servicing the trade. Towards achieving this objective – Unifrutti India has commenced setting up of a Direct Retail Distribution network –where in it operates on the lines of an FMCG – booking advance orders and then delivering quality and weight assured produce at the store on a daily basis.
Starting with Delhi NCR – this model is now being replicated in other geographies of operations within the country. Although highly capital intensive – this model of channel development with the frontline unorganized retailers provides a lot of brand visibility and helps build loyalty and reach.
In order to extend the reach to the end consumer – for whom “Touch & Feel” is imperative while buying fruits – Unifrutti India has facilitated the road side retailer to extend his reach and service to the consumer at his doorstep using this model. Unifrutti India has launched ergonomically designed tricycle push carts (non motorized) duly branded and fitted with electronic weighing scales to run through densely populated residential localities and allow the consumer to buy fruit of his choice from these carts, hence blending the traditional touch with modern needs.
